Councillor gives £625 towards cost of new bench in Burnham-On-Sea

A vandalised public bench in Burnham-On-Sea is set to be replaced with a new one, thanks to a donation of hundreds of pounds from a county councillor.

Cllr Mike Facey, who represents Burnham North, has this week given £625 from his community budget towards the cost of a new bench at the junction of Berrow Road and Stoddens Road.

He is pictured here handing over a cheque to Burnham's Mayor Peter Burridge-Clayton and Cllr Eric Gill, Chairman of the town council's Town Improvements Committee.

"I'm very happy to see the money being used in such a good way," he told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
