Burnham-On-Sea
resident's anger over 21 misdelivered letters
A
Burnham-On-Sea resident has called on Royal Mail to smarten up
its act after receiving 21 letters that were meant for other people
on Saturday (March 22nd).
Liz
Monday of Axbridge Close told Burnham-On-Sea.com the heap of misdelivered
mail (pictured) was pushed through her letterbox by a postman
on Saturday morning.
She
contacted Royal Mail by telephone after not receiving any of her
own post, and was asked her to put the wrongly-delivered mail
back in a post box.
Liz
did this and wrote to each of the other residents in Burnham,
saying: "I
have reported this problem to Royal Mail and they have told me
to just put the post back in a letter box. This is not good enough
for me and I want you to know what is happening."
"In
the days of having to be as careful as possible with personal
information due to identity theft I feel that this is not good
enough."
"Please
just be grateful that your post was delivered to an honest person.
I dearly hope ours is."
