Model railway enthusiasts flocked to Burnham-On-Sea on Saturday (May 31st) for a special exhibition.

Eight miniature layouts created by members of Burnham and District Model Railway Club were displayed at the group’s annual open day in the town’s Community Hall.

Exhibition Manager John Langley told Burnham-On-Sea.com the day had been a great success. “We had a lot of interest in our displays from a steady trickle of people of all ages,” he said.

The club’s next public exhibition will be the two-day annual Sedgemoor Rail show, which will be held as usual at King Alfred School on Saturday August 23rd and Sunday August 24th.

The club, which has been running for more than 25 years, meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 7-10pm in Burnham Community Hall in Berrow Road and newcomers are welcome. Annual membership fees cost £50 after a free initial induction period.
