Proud Burnham-On-Sea gymnasts clinch gold medals

Two gymnasts from Burnham-On-Sea's Monarchs Gymnastics Club won gold medals at a competition in Southampton earlier this week.

Sean McKenna and Casey House won gold at the Inter-Regional Acrobatic Gymnastics Championships in Southampton.

Representing the South West, Sean and Casey came first in the preparatory B mixed pairs.

They qualified for this competition by coming second in the South West Preliminaries back in April.

Sean has had a busy few weeks as he won gold in the national schools pair finals in Stoke with Jessica Titcombe from King Alfred School at the end of April and is also taking part in the national tumbling finals in Stoke this coming weekend.
