Highbridge
auction night raises cash for tennis academy
Over
200 tickets have already been sold for a charity auction being
held in Highbridge this Friday (February 1st) to raise funds for
a tennis academy in memory of a young tennis player who died last
year.
The
Nathan Edwards Tennis Academy has been set up following the tragic
death of 17-year-old Nathan in a road accident last November.
He
was a talented member of Burnham's Avenue Tennis Club and a former
King Alfred School pupil.
Organisers
of the Tennis Academy are holding a skittles night and auction
of promises at Highbridge's Oaktree Arena this Friday at 7.30pm.
A
few last tickets are available at £7.50 with a buffet and
£3.50 excluding buffet, and further details are available
from the Avenue Tennis Club in Burnham or by calling Peter Alexander
on 782116.
