New £450,000 restaurant complex opens outside Burnham-On-Sea

Bill Hancock and Peter Toogood More than 150 people were invited along to the official opening of a new £450,000 restaurant on the outskirts of Burnham-On-Sea on Friday evening (February 15th).

The Oak Tree Restaurant was formally opened at the Oak Tree Arena speedway track by Peter Toogood, Chairman of the British Speedway Promoters Association, and owner Bill Hancock.

It's taken just over a year to complete the building and comes after £150,000 has been spent in the past 12 months on upgrading the speedway facilities by Somerset Rebels promoter Mike Golding.

Our photos show Bill Hancock and Peter Toogood besides the plaque unveiled on Friday night and, below, the busy scenes at the new facility
