Take
a trip back in time with Burnhan Lions Club's old time music hall
An
evening of traditional foot-tapping music is promised when Burnham-on-Sea
and District Lions Club hold an Old Time Music Hall event next
month to raise funds for local and other Lions charities.
"The
Lions Club invites you to celebrate the Music Hall Era with an
evening of variety, gaiety and entertainment in a fun-packed show
presenting acts where you can heckle the Chairman, laugh and sing
the popular songs of the time, stamp your feet, cheer or wipe
a tear from your eye," said spokesman Andrew Bryant.
In the tradition of music hall events, a meal of sausage and mash
and pudding plus alcoholic beverages will be served to the audience
by an enthusiastic band of Lions Club waiters.
"You
can also come along in period costume and be in with a chance
of winning prizes for the best-dressed lady and gentleman,"
added Andrew.
The
event will be held at Burnham's Princess Hall on Saturday 5th
April at 7pm. Tickets are on sale now at £7.50 available
from GC Music in College Street. For
further details contact Andrew Bryant on 01278 792534.
