Hit
West End show 'Oliver' to be screened in Burnham-On-Sea
Burnham-On-Sea
Lions Club is to hold a special presentation of the film Oliver
on Sunday May 25th at the town's Ritz Cinema to raise funds for
a worthy local cause.
After
the success of their recent Old
Time Music Hall, the fundraisers are aiming to latch on to
the popularity of BBC One's talent show I'd Do Anything
by screening the classic musical show.
The
evening will start at 6.45pm with a cheese and wine reception,
followed at 7.30pm by the film, which contains many of the most
well-known songs of stage and screen.
Organiser
Andrew Bryant said: "The Lions invite you to 'Consider Yourself'
and start by 'Reviewing the Situation' and coming along, dressed
for the occasion to enjoy 'Food Glorious Food' at what promises
to be a nostalgic evening of entertainment with plenty of 'Oom-Pah-Pah'."
All
proceeds from the evening will go to the Musgrove Leukaemic Group
Somerset.
Tickets,
costing £7.50, are available from the Ritz Cinema box office.
