New
season of summer pig racing is a runaway success at Brean!

The
first of a series of summer pig races got underway in Brean, near
Burnham-On-Sea, on Tuesday evening (July 22nd) when over 350 people
cheered on the animals as they raced around a circuit at the village's
leisure park.
The
fundraising charity events will be held each Tuesday during the
summer holidays until August 26th, and also include donkey racing
(pictured right).
The
entrance gate was manned by Highbridge and Burnham St John Ambulance
Cadets, who were one of the groups benefiting from the event along
with Burnham Sea Cadets.
The
pig
and donkey races will will be held each Tuesday at
7pm until
August 26th.
