Burnham-On-Sea police issue warning on car crime

Burnham-On-Sea police issued a warning on Friday (August 22nd) to local residents to keep their cars locked following a series of thefts from vehicles in the area.

Since Sunday August 17th, there have been 19 reported incidents relating to car crime in Burnham and Cheddar.

Sergeant Ian Kennett advises: "Always lock your car, even if you are only leaving it for a short period of time, and never leave items on display - particularly satalite navigation systems or cameras."

"We will be increasing patrols in hot spot areas, but if you see anyone acting suspiciously around a vehicle then please make sure you report it."
