Big
crowds expected at Brean for Queen music convention
Over
one thousand Queen fans are expected to descend on Brean, near
Burnham-On-Sea, for the 23rd annual Queen Fan Club Convention
next weekend.
The
event, being held at Pontins from March 28th-31st, will attract
fans from all over the world, including from as far away as America
and Australia.
Sheila
Synnott, one of the event's organisers, told Burnham-On-Sea.com:
"The weekend is an opportunity for Queen fans from all over
the world to meet up and talk about Queen and also catch up with
old friends. The
weekend's programme includes live bands, discos, activites such
as football and a scavenger hunt plus guest speakers."
As
well as being a fun event, the convention also raises money for
charity through collections, sales and auctions.
Saturday
will see the return of the 'World Famous Redsox', featuring Jamie
Moses and Spike Edney with John Marter and Steve Stroud and special
guest vocalist Jeff Scott Soto.
On
Sunday the Italian tribute band Queenmania will be performing
and among the VIP guest speakers with a Queen connection will
be Peter Freestone and Mike Moran.
