A busy route into Burnham-On-Sea was partially closed by an accident early on Saturday morning (December 27th).

One lane of Queen’s Drive was closed at 7.30am after a collision on the railway bridge.

Police were quickly on scene to divert traffic around the incident, which is thought to have been caused by icy road conditions.

“One vehicle suffered front-end damage on the brow of the hill,” an eyewitness told Burnham-On-Sea.com. “The car had collided into the barrier on the roadside.”

An ambulance spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com there had been no serious injuries.
