Burnham
Sea Cadets celebrate after two competition wins
A
group of Burnham-On-Sea sea cadets is celebrating this week after
winning two competitions.
The
group represented the unit at the Sea Cadets' district competition
and won - and then competed in the regional finals against nine
areas of cadets where they won again.
"This
is a first for many years, not only for our unit, TS Dulverton,
but also for our district, Somerset and Dorset," said a spokesman
for the group.
The
cadets will be competing in the national finals in April where
they will face tough competition against six areas from across
the UK.
Burnham
Sea Cadets meet at their HQ in Cassis Close on several days each
week. The seniors gather on Mondays and Thursdays from 1845 to
2115, while the juniors meet on Wednesday nights from 1845 to
2100.
