to M5 services after blaze at Burger King cafe
Sedgemoor
Services on the M5 motorway near Burnham-On-Sea was evacuated
after a fire broke out in a Burger King cafe on Friday afternoon
(March 7th).
Burnham
fire brigade was called to the northbound services at 3:45pm after
a blaze was found within a kitchen area.
On

several occupants using two foam extinguishers and two fire blankets.
"The
cause of the fire was believed to be overheated cooking oil due
to the failure of a thermostat," explained fire spokesman
Paul Slavin.
