Motorway services near Burnham-On-Sea evacuated in fire alert

Sedgemoor Services on the M5 motorway near Burnham-On-Sea was evacuated in a fire alert on Friday morning (January 18th).

Dozens of motorists were asked to leave the site's buildings at around 11.30am after several fire alarms were activated.

A team of Burnham-On-Sea fire fighters were quickly on the scene, as pictured here, but stood down when it became clear that the incident had been a false alarm.
