Burnham-On-Sea shoe shop bids farewell to retiring staff member

Staff at a Burnham-On-Sea shop have this week bid a fond farewell to a colleague who is retiring after a 25 year career.

Ann Rogers has been a familiar face in Shickle Shoes on Burnham High Street, helping customers in her role as senior sales assistant.

Now, after a quarter of a century's work, Ann is retiring to spend more time with her family.

Staff and friends gathered at the Clarence Restaurant on Burnham seafront this week for a special meal, as pictured above.

Owner Geoff Shickle told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "Ann has been dedicated to her job and has been a model employee. She will be missed."
