Police appeal for help after ram raiders hit two Burnham-On-Sea shops

Police have appealed for information following burglaries at two shops in the centre of Burnham-On-Sea during the early hours of Friday morning (December 19th).

The break-ins occurred shortly after 1.10am when a BMW was driven into the shopfronts of Boots and Superdrug in the High Street. understands that a large quantity of perfume was stolen by the occupants of the vehicle, who then left at high speed.

Police spokesman Steve Game told "The vehicle left the scene and two men were later arrested in connection with the incident."

"Property thought to have been taken in the burglary has been recovered and investigations are continuing into this theft."
