Burnham-On-Sea
artists showcase their work during Somerset Art Weeks

A
dozen artists in Burnham-On-Sea are joining over 270 people across
Somerset in showcasing their work during this year's Somerset
Art Weeks, which run from September 13th until September 28th.
The
artists are opening up their homes and studios to the public to
see display a wide range of colourful paintings, pottery, craftwork,
photographs and jewellery items.
Burnham
artist Judith Champion, pictured above, who is the event's regional
co-ordinator, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "This is an important
event for artists and makers across Somerset. People come from
far and wide to see us at work in galleries, in our studios, and
homes. It is a wonderful opportunity to talk about what we do,
and sometimes we even manage to sell a few pieces or take commissions!"
Due
to increasing popularity, a decision was made in 2007 to turn
the festival into an annual two week event with an alternating
focus of open studios this year and events and group exhibitions
in 2009. Click here
