Coffee chain Starbucks to open in Burnham-On-Sea
Starbucks,
the world's biggest coffee chain, is to open in Burnham-On-Sea
later this summer.
The
firm has this week signed a deal with Burnham swimming pool's
new bosses, Sara Cox-Conklin and Mark Conklin, to sell its coffee
in the building's new cafe when it opens later this year.
The
pool closed for six weeks on Monday (June 2nd) to allow its new
bosses to completely overhaul and revamp the property in time
for a grand re-opening in July, when it will become the Burnham
Swim & Sports Academy.
The
academy's new coffee shop, to be located near the entrance to
the building, will have its own unique name and will be 'proudly
brewing Starbucks coffee'.
Sara
confirmed to Burnham-On-Sea.com: "When the doors re-open
at the former Burnham pool in July, swimmers will now be able
to enjoy a cup of gourmet coffee after their workout."
"We
are excited to be able to offer the community of Burnham a premium
range of premium beverages when visiting our facilities."
Starbucks
is the world's leading retailer, roaster and brand of specialty
coffee in the world, with more than 6,000 retail outlets in North
America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
