flock to Burnham-On-Sea vintage steam engines display
Visitors flocked to a display of vintage steam engines in Burnham-On-Sea
over the weekend.
Sedgemoor
Vintage Club displayed a number of colourful engines outside Western
Steam Model Engineers in Love Lane to give residents a small taster
of its upcoming summer festival.
Sedgemoor
Vintage Club's annual festival will take place on July 12th and
13th at Rooksbridge House stock car racing ground, near Burnham,
when hundreds of vintage steam attractions will be on display.
"We've
had a steady flow of visitors to this special display, and people
have shown a great deal of interest in the items on display,"
said Peter Brakes, Chairman of Sedgemoor Vintage Club.
He
added that among the attractions at this week's event was a 3
inch Orchin engine and a stationery 1927 Bamford petrol engine.
The
event was supported by Western Steam Model Engineers, which makes
equipment for the club's members and businesses.
