Burnham-On-Sea firefighters tackled a kitchen blaze in the town on Wednesday evening (November 19th).

Two fire engines rushed to a house in Stoddens Road at 8pm after the occupants dialled 999 to report a dishwasher on fire.

Fire spokesman Paul Slavin told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Our crews used breathing apparatus and hose reels to make the scene safe.”

“A fan was also used to ventilate the property.”

He added that no-one had been injured in the incident and that fire crews left the scene at 8.45pm.
