In photos: Crowds flock to Burnham on hottest day of 2008 so far

These were the busy scenes in Burnham-On-Sea on Sunday (May 11th) when the warmest day of the year so far saw temperatures in the town hit 75 degrees Farenheit.

The hot weather attracted the crowds to the town's beach and seafront, with businesses reporting busy trade throughout the day as sales of ice cream and cool drinks soared. Forecasters say the warm weather will continue until Thursday of this week when rain is predicted to arrive.

The warm summer weather brought out crowds of walkers to Burnham seafront.

Beach users took a cooling paddle in the busy waters of Bridgwater Bay.
