park
Dozens of Burnham-On-Sea residents took the opportunity
to try out Tai Chi during a special martial arts taster day being
held across the country on Sunday (June 29th).
Over
50 people of all ages flexed and stretched their muscles in the
town's Manor Gardens during the event, which was overseen by the
Tai Chi Union of Great Britain.
Cheryl
Mountford, an instructor from the Burnham-based Bubbling Springs
Tai Chi group, led Sunday's event, as pictured here.
She
told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "Considering it was the first such
event in Burnham, I was delighted with the turnout and the enthusiasm
shown. We'll definitely hold a second event again next June."
Tai
Chi Form is a sequence of slow, spiraling flowing movements and
is sometimes referred to as 'meditation in movement'. Click here
