Police and Trading Standards seize counterfeit goods in Highbridge

Burnham-On-Sea police and Trading Standards bosses have this week seized thousands of pounds worth of counterfeit goods in Highbridge.

Police took away a large quantity of counterfeit clothes that had been on sale at Highbridge Market, as shown in these exclusive photos.

The teams swooped on a stall at the weekly market and confiscated material with a street value of several thousand pounds.

Janet Hookings, spokesperson for Somerset County Council's Trading Standards Department, confirmed to Burnham-On-Sea.com: "Trading Standards seized a quantity of goods at Highbridge market and investigations are continuing."

Last year, Trading Standards swooped on a car boot sale outside on the outskirts of Burnham when they seized counterfeit DVDs and CDs.
