New farm food shop opens on Burnham-On-Sea High Street

A new farm food shop has just opened in the centre of Burnham-On-Sea, selling a wide range of locally-made, fresh produce from across the West Country.

Truckles Farm Shop opened on the High Street on Friday (December 18th) after the premises was vacated by another firm earlier this year.

Owners Ian and Carol Keane, pictured, say their new venture has had a "fantastic" reception from shoppers so far.

Ian told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "It's been a very busy first couple of days and the response from customers has been fantastic."

"We're delighted with how it's gone and thank everyone for their support. Opening a new business at the moment is a brave thing to do, but we have a lot of confidence."

The shop sells locally-sourced bread, cheese, meat and vegetables, plus other foods. It also applied for a liquor license, which enables it to sell locally brewed beers and wines.

The couple prevously ran the Conifers restaurant in College Street, which was named one of the best restauarants in the south west.
