Anger
as vandals slash tyres of eight cars in centre of Burnham
Police
are investigating a spate of vandalism attacks in which the tyres
of at least eight vehicles were slashed in the centre of Burnham-On-Sea
this week.
The
tyres were slashed in Jubilee Street and Summerville Terrace on
Tuesday evening (January 29th) - as pictured here.
Angry
residents now face expensive bills to repair their tyres - and
one local garage confirmed to Burnham-On-Sea.com it had been a
busier-than-normal week.
Spokesman
Dan Mountain told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "We dealt with at least
eight incidents in the Jubile Street area at around 9pm on Tuesday
evening. We have already made extensive enquiries and keen to
speak to anyone who saw anything suspicious or may be able to
help us."
Police
are urging anyone with information to contact Crimestoppers on
0800 555 111.
