Mobile phone firm unveils plans to boost signal strength in Burnham-On-Sea

-

Mobile phone signals in the centre Burnham-On-Sea could be boosted if proposals to introduce several new antennas are approved by district council planners later this month.

Mobile phone company Vodafone has applied for planning permission to attach three new antennas to an existing phone mast in Dunstan Road.

If approved, the company says the new antennas would allow it to offer improved, super-fast 3G mobile phone coverage across the town.

“Residents and interested parties can send feedback on the scheme to the district council’s planning by October 25th,” said a spokesman for Sedgemoor District Council.

Note: This scheme was originally for six antennas, but the applicant reduced it to three.
