Water soared into the air after a mains burst in Burnham-On-Sea on Wednesday (March 12th) which left nearby residents with dry taps.

Several homes were without water supplies in the Rosewood Avenue are following the burst, which was caught here on camera by a Burnham-On-Sea.com reader.

A Bristol Water spokeswoman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “One of the ferrels blew off the pipes and we quickly sent an emergency repair team to deal with it. The work was completed in under an hour and so disruption to customers was minimal.”

She added that supplies to nearby residents had been disrupted between 1.40pm and 2.35pm.
