Taps
run dry after water main burst in Burnham-On-Sea
Water
soared into the air after a mains burst in Burnham-On-Sea on Wednesday
(March 12th) which left nearby residents with dry taps.
Several
homes were without water supplies in the Rosewood Avenue are following
the burst, which was caught here on camera by a Burnham-On-Sea.com
reader.
A
Bristol Water spokeswoman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "One of
the ferrels blew off the pipes and we quickly sent an emergency
repair team to deal with it. The work was completed in under an
hour and so disruption to customers was minimal."
She
added that supplies to nearby residents had been disrupted between
1.40pm and 2.35pm.
