Planners give green light to nine more new homes in Highbridge

This housing development in Highbridge is set to grow further after proposals to build nine new homes were this week given the go-ahead by local planners.

Sedgemoor District Council planning officer Rob Morgan has given Raglan Housing Limited approval to construct nine dwellings, contained within two buildings, on land north of Worston Road, pictured here.

The plans - which include the formation of new access and parking - were submitted earlier this year.

The proposals come continuing concern among local councillors and residents regarding the ever-increasing amount of low-cost homes being built in Highbridge.
