Burnham-On-Sea
zapcat pilots return in winning form

Burnham-On-Sea
zapcat racers Ryan
Jones and Ashley Chappell returned to the sport at the
weekend in
winning style.
The
duo, pictured here, took to
the Cornish waters of Newquay on Saturday (September 20th) to
compete in a round of the national championships where they fought
off their rivals to claim the top place on the winners' podium
in their class.
The
team, called the 'Huntspill Boyz', retired from the sport in June
due to spiralling costs after two seasons. But they missed the
action so much that they decided to return for a one-off race
at Newquay.
"We've
really missed competing so decied to have a go at the Newquay
round and did really well, getting two second places and three
first positions in the five heats, which put us on pole position
in the final," Ashley told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
"We
then went on to win in the final race, which was a great feeling
after being out for so many months."
The
pair hope to compete in several rounds of the zapcat national
championships next season if they can find sponsors. For details,
