Burnham-On-Sea
air cadets receive awards from RAF Tornado jet pilot

Several
air cadets from 290 Squadron Air Training Corps in Burnham-On-Sea
and Weston received awards when their annual presentation dinner
was held this week in Lympsham this week.
The
guest of honour at the dinner, which was held in the Batch Country
Hotel, was an RAF Tornado jet navigator.
Group
Captain Chris Brazier RAF, who has recently returned from Iraq
and Afghanistan, presented Cadet Flight Sergeant Ben Price with
an award from the cadets for outstanding contribution to the squadron.
Cadet
Sergeant Josh Morgan received the Commanding Officer's loyalty
award and Cadet Daniel Hopkins received recognition for outstanding
loyalty and attendance over the past year. He was also made a
member of the squadron's leadership cadre.
"The
squadron has had a busy year with numerous flying, shooting and
sport opportunities and academic certificates, annual RAF camp
weeks, Duke of Edinburgh awards and the annual survival exercise
in Devon," said Commanding Officer of 290 squadron Flight
Lieutenant Steve Manville RAF, who hosted the event.
290
Squadron Air Training Corps is based in Weston and in Burnham
at the Cadet Centre in Highbridge Road. They meet Tuesdays and
Thursdays between 7.30pm and 9.45pm. For more information contact
