Berrow resident receives her MBE
from Prince Charles

Prince
Charles has this week presented a community-spirited resident
from Berrow, near Burnham-On-Sea, with an MBE during a special
ceremony at Buckingham Palace.
Andrea
Johnstone, pictured, travelled to London with her daughters to
receive the award, which recognises her voluntary service to the
community.
Mrs
Johnstone was instrumental in raising thousands of pounds towards
the rebuild of Berrow Football Club's changing rooms after a huge
fire in 2005.
Andrea
told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "The ceremony went very well - it
was a very grand occasion."
"Prince
Charles led the investiture and spent several minutes asking me
about Berrow and why I had been nominated."
"My
family were certainly proud and it was wonderful to have my four
daughters with me for such a special day."
Andrea
is also a former Chairman of Berrow Parish Council and has been
a parish councillor for many years. At the end of 2008, she was
named in the Queen's New Year Honours - as first reported here.
