First of three Burnham-On-Sea
Aquathons will be held this weekend
There's
still time to enter this weekend's Burnham-On-Sea Aquathon, which
is going ahead at the town's Swim and Sports Academy on Sunday
(March 8th).
Three
Aquathons of varying distances will be held this year, instead
of the normal single race.
Organiser
Martin Rogers explained to Burnham-On-Sea.com: "We've decided
to split the event up into three so that there is an event for
every ability."
"The
shortest race will be held this Sunday and comprises of a 500m
swim and a 5km run. The second race on March 29th will be a 750m
swim and a 7km run. The third Aquathon will be held on April 19th
and will be a 1,000m swim and a 10km run."
"We
welcome entries for one, two or even all three events - there
are no restrictions other than a minimum age of 15."
Entry
forms can be picked up from the Swim and Sports Academy in Berrow
Road or by calling 01278 785909. Entry fees cost £15 per
individual race for British Triathlon Members and £18 for
non-members. Entries for all three races are £39 (British
Triathlon Members) and £48 (non-members). Each race is limited
to 120 competitors.
