Burnham-On-Sea Rotary Club launches Christmas gift scheme

-

Burnham-On-Sea Rotary Club is encouraging festive shoppers in Highbridge to donate presents to needy local people through their annual Christmas gift scheme.

A specially labeled box has been placed opposite the tills at the town’s Asda store to receive the gifts, which will be collected, wrapped and delivered by the Rotarians in time for Christmas.

Rotary President Jim Tancock told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “This Christmas there will be someone, somewhere, within our community who will have very little, or nothing, to show that somebody cares about them. Our aim is to bring just a little happiness with a small gift.”

The Rotary Club are collecting gifts at the Highbridge store until December 14th. They are requesting that no perishables are donated.
