Man
arrested and two injured after Highbridge
'mass
brawl'
A
fight in a Highbridge car park involving up to 30 youths led to
one person being arrested and two people being rushed to hospital.
Police
were called to Bank Street car park in the centre of the town
on Tuesday evening (February 10th) after what local residents
described as a "mass brawl" involving various dangerous
weapons.
Police
spokesman Wayne Baker told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "Police were
called to a disturbance at 6pm in Bank Street car park."
"One
man was taken to hospital with arm injuries and one person was
arrested. CCTV footage of the incident has also been studied and
our enquiries are ongoing. We would ask anyone with information
to get in contact."
Members
of Burnham's online discussion forums described
what they saw in the town centre. One user states: "Approximately
20 to 30 young adults decided to fight in Bank Street car park...
their choice of weapon? Metal bars, bricks and concrete blocks."
