Burnham's
Deputy Mayor and Mayoress visit first of BARB open days

Burnham-On-Sea's
Deputy Mayor and Mayoress were among the visitors to a new series
of summer open days being held at the town's rescue hovercraft
charity BARB.
Danny
Titcombe and his partner Jo Hughes met crewmembers and also climbed
onboard the life-saving Spirit Of Lelaina hovercraft, pictured.
It
comes as BARB holds a series of open days at its hovercraft station
on the South Esplanade during July and August.
"Each
Sunday over the holiday period, BARB's crewmembers will be handing
out beach safety leaflets and be available to discuss seaside
safety," said BARB Chairman Mark Newman.
"There
will also be an opportunity for visitors to see Burnham's two
rescue hovercrafts and support the charity's work by buying BARB-branded
merchandise, such as pens, mugs, keyrings and toy bears."
