In photos: Pub quiz fun
raises funds for Burnham-On-Sea hovercrafts
The
Burnham-On-Sea charity that runs the town's rescue hovercrafts
received a cash boost on Tuesday evening (January 27th) when Burnham's
Adult Learning Centre held a fundraising pub quiz.
A crowd of supporters flocked to The Reed's Arms on Burnham seafront
for the event, which was held in aid of BARB, the Burnham Area
Rescue Boat.
"We're
delighted to have raised over £120 for such an excellent
local charity," said co-organiser Jane Biggs.
BARB
is a registered charity that operates the life-saving Spirit Of
Lelaina and Light of Elizabeth hovercrafts and an inshore rescue
boat. It is run by unpaid volunteers and is funded entirely by
donations.
