BBC film crew set to descend on Berrow and Burnham beaches

-

Both Burnham-On-Sea and Berrow beaches will be in the spotlight on Thursday (July 30th) when a BBC television crew will be filming there.

The makers of BBC2’s Horizon series will be filming several scenes on the beaches for a programme about quantum physics and measurement.

The two presenters, Marcus du Sautoy and comedian Alan Davies (of Jonathan Creek fame), are also expected to be on the scene.

Sedgemoor District Council’s Strategic Property Manager, Tim Mander, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It is appropriate that right at the start of the main school holiday season such an august organisation as the BBC recognises the beautiful scenery that both Burnham and Berrow beaches have to offer.”

He added that the council receives many requests from film and TV production companies to use its dramatic coastal backdrop for film shoots and promotion events.
