Burnham-On-Sea prepares for visit by Britain In Bloom judges

-

Final preparations are being made in Burnham-On-Sea this week for the yearly visit by the judges from the Britain In Bloom competition.

Residents are being urged to tidy their gardens and keep the town litter-free ahead of the judges’ visit on Tuesday July 21st.

Richard Young, one of the organisers, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The regional judges will be visiting Burnham from 2pm onwards on Tuesday and will be touring several areas of the town.”

“The town is looking really wonderful this year, with some impressive displays.”

“We have had good support from the town council and district council. The Clean Surroundings Team at Sedgemoor have been particularly co-operative in helping us prepare for the judging,” added Mr Young.

Burnham-On-Sea was awarded a silver gilt award in Britain In Bloom’s Sergent Cup last year, which is open to mid-sized towns across the region.

The Britain In Bloom judges also visited Highbridge last week for the first time – as reported here – and hopes are high there of success this year.
