Deceased man named by police after discovery of body in Highbridge

The identity of a man who was found dead in a Highbridge property last week was revealed by police on Friday (March 6th).

Burnham-On-Sea.com was first to report how a Highbridge man had been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter after police made the grizzly discovery of a body at a home in the town centre last Friday.

Police were called to an address in Market Street at 4.45pm on February 27th following a report of a sudden death.

The dead man was named on Friday afternoon (March 6th) as Andrew Ford, 44, from Bristol.

Police spokesman Martin Dunscombe told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "Investigations are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the death."

Burnham-On-Sea.com reported earlier in the week how a 43 year-old man had been arrested in connection with the incident on suspicion of manslaughter and being connected with the supply of heroin. He was later released on bail pending further investigations."
