A
pensioner from Brighton who is using his free bus pass to travel
around the UK while raising funds for the RNLI visited Burnham-On-Sea
this week.
Bill
Walton, who is lifeboat Sea Safety Officer for Newhaven and Brighton,
is making his journey around the country between 30th January
and 23rd February.
He
will be promoting sea safety while raising funds for the lifeboat
service over the month-long trip.
Bill
arrived at Burnham lifeboat station in Pier Street on Friday,
where he was treated to tea and biscuits by station personnel
and had dinner with Sea Safety Officer Chris Spencer.
He
said: "I have completed approximately two thirds of my trip,
having travelled approximately 1,400 miles, and have received
much hospitality along the way."
