Three escape unhurt as car plunges into water-filled ditch

A Burnham-On-Sea fire crew rushed to West Huntspill on Wednesday evening (March 4th) after this car careered off the road into a water-filled ditch.

The driver of the silver Daewoo lost control as he tried to negotiate a bend in Langlands Lane at 6.15pm.

Fire spokesman Paul Slavin told "The fire crew was sent to investigate whether anyone was trapped in the car."

"They found the three occupants had managed to get out by themselves."

The shocked trio managed to escaped without injury and the vehicle was pulled out of the ditch on Thursday morning.
