Lucky
escape for car driver after plunge into roadside ditch
The
driver of this vehicle was lucky to escape without injuries after
careering off a country lane on the outskirts of Brean, near Burnham-On-Sea,
this week.
 The
Vauxhall Astra estate went off the roadway in Accommodation Road
on Tuesday evening when the driver lost control while negotiating
a sharp bend.
Police
and an ambulance were called, but the occupants managed to escape
unhurt.
Police
spokesman Steve Game confirmed to Burnham-On-Sea.com: "We
were called on to a car accident by Batch Bridge on Tuesday evening.
There were no injuries."
Police
installed warning signs and safety tape around the scene to protect
the vehicle and ensure the safety of other passing vehicles was
not compromised.
