-

Large crowds of carnival fans took advantage of the good weather on Sunday (November 8th) to grab a sneak peak at the 90 colourful floats that have arrived in town ahead of Monday’s 62nd annual Burnham-On-Sea Carnival.

The carnival floats arrived in Burnham-On-Sea’s Queen’s Drive late on Saturday night (November 7th) after completing the North Petherton Carnival.

Burnham’s carnival parade will begin at 7.30pm on Monday evening near the town’s Tesco supermarket and then wend its way along Love Lane, onto Manor Road, and then along the High Street before finishing in Marine Drive.

This year’s Carnival Queen Jessica Rogers and her princesses, Burnham girls Danielle Hockey and Bethany May Ellis, will lead the procession through the town.

Road closure come into operation earlier in the evening and full details of the route, car parking, and road closures appear here on Burnham-On-Sea.com’s carnival guide.

Malcolm Borland, President of the Carnival Association told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Everything is going to plan and we’re delighted that there is a good long list of entries again this year. Everyone’s looking forward to this year’s event, which promises to be a superb one.”
