More than 120 people crowded into Burnham-On-Sea’s Princess Hall on Friday night (October 16th) for a fundraising concert hosted by the town’s Mayor and Mayoress.

The annual Mayor’s Charity Concert, organised by Derick Cooper and Mayoress Christine Cooper, is expected to have raised over £1,000 for The Friends of Burnham Hospital.

The audience enjoyed entertainment from King Alfred Concert Band and The Coastline Singers (pictured right).

Friends Chairman Tony Deahl told Burnham-On-Sea.com the event had been a sell-out. “It’s been so successful that we unfortunately had to turn away six people who turned up without buying tickets in advance.”
