Hovercraft
takes centre stage at Burnham-On-Sea couple's wedding

One
of Burnham-On-Sea's rescue hovercrafts was at the centre of a
wedding ceremony on Saturday (September 12th) when a long-serving
crewmember tied the knot.
Chris
Gammon has been part of BARB's volunteer crew for over five years
and was keen for fellow crewmembers to join his special day when
he married his partner Emmalene at St Andrew's Church on Burnham
seafront.
Chris
and his best man arrived at the church on The Light Of Elizabeth
hovercraft and, when the service ended, crewmembers formed an
archway of hovercraft blades outside for the newlyweds to walk
under.
Chris
and Emmalene were then taken to their reception on the hovercraft.
Chris
said: "BARB has been an important part of my life for several
years, so both Emmalene and I were very keen for the hovercraft
to be part of our celebrations."
"We
were delighted to have The Light Of Elizabeth there to make the
day even more memorable."
