Police
seize illegally parked vehicle after Highbridge traffic chaos
Police
swooped on this illegally parked vehicle in Highbridge after it
brought the town to a complete standstill on Sunday (February
22nd).
Incredibly,
its owner had parked opposite the roadworks in Church Street,
preventing larger vehicles from getting through the town, causing
long queues of traffic to build up.
The
Peugeot's owner was issued with two fixed penalty tickets before
the vehicle was towed away.
Illegal
parking in Church Street was one of the priorities identified
by residents at last week's PACT
meeting in the town.
Burnham-On-Sea.com
was first to report last
month that the roadworks would cause a three month closure
of the A38 until the end of April.
