Continental market underway on Burnham-On-Sea seafront this week

-

An outdoor continental market is being held on Burnham-On-Sea’s seafront this week.

Stalls selling a wide range of traditional European food and other items are lining the Esplanade, as pictured, until Sunday (August 16th).

They are offering crepes, breads, cheese, paella, olives, fruits, sweets, jewellery, handbags, belts, Brittany biscuits, sausages, jams and pickles.

“The market offers a variety of continental goods, together with the tempting smells and lively banter that makes shopping an attractive experience and will be situated along the Esplanade just to the south of the BARB rescue centre,” Tim Mander of Sedgemoor District Council told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

The market’s final day, Sunday August 16th, coincides with Burnham’s annual ESCAPE Day, when local emergency services will hold demonstrations and displays along the town’s seafront.
