New
coffee house and bistro is set to open in Burnham-On-Sea
A
brand new bistro and coffee house is set to open in Burnham-On-Sea
next month.
Yorkshire
couple Sam and Steven Crowden have this week signed a deal to
take over the lease of the former French's
cafe in College Street, which shut down six months ago.
They
plan to open
the new-look business in mid-July under the name 'Crowdy's Coffee
House and Bistro'.
Sam
told
Burnham-On-Sea.com:
"It's
an exciting venture, which we're really looking forward to. We
both love Burnham and think it's a great location for a new coffee
house and quality bistro."
She
added:
"In
addition to excellent coffee, we'll be selling a wide range of
food, from breakfast rolls and panninis to cakes, during the daytime."
The
couple have already received 20 job applications for the five
new jobs on offer - a sign of the times in Burnham.
French's
closed
last December
when its owners said they could no longer afford to keep the business
running.
