Burnham-On-Sea
cyclist's injuries more serious than originally thought

A
Burnham-On-Sea cyclist who was injured earlier this week when
she was struck by a passing car is recovering in hospital after
suffering more serious injuries than originally thought.
The
59 year-old woman was knocked off her bike on
Sunday evening (November 1st) by a passing vehicle as she
rode across the roundabout next to Burnham's Esso petrol station,
pictured above.
A
relative of the lady has contacted Burnham-On-Sea.com to thank
residents for their good wishes, which were made on this website's
forum.
He
added: "Unfortunately, she broke a knee in two places, has
fractured fingers and has a broken collarbone. She is recovering
in hospital after surgery and will probably be there for two weeks.
She thanks local people for their good wishes."
